Editorial and corrections policy
A wrong maximum price, and a household compares its quote with a ceiling that does not exist. Here is where our figures come from, who answers for them and what we do when one is wrong.
Responsibility
Radif Partners answers for every price shown, every estimate and every formula. A gap with be.STAT can be reported to contact@mazoutmax.be and is checked against the source.
Primary sources only
- Statbel (be.STAT): official tariff of petroleum products, daily, monthly and yearly;
- the FPS Economy: the maximum-price framework;
- the Chamber of Representatives: parliamentary documents on the programme contract;
- the Social Heating Fund: allowance scale and conditions.
No price is taken from a dealer or comparison site.
The estimate, always labelled
Until tomorrow’s tariff is published, the site shows an estimate, called that wherever it appears, with its range and measured error. It is never presented as a tariff.
Checks before publication
Every rebuild checks the series (no missing day, plausible prices), cross-checks the tariffs quoted by the Chamber and reruns the calculations to the cent. A doubtful series blocks the update instead of being shown.
Update rhythm
Tariff: five readings a day. Fund scale: at every change. The date shown comes from the last reading.
Handling errors
- Check against the primary source.
- Fix the data or code and add a test.
- New date on the pages concerned.
Independence
